Description
The Division of Research and Federal Relations - TRIO Programs Upward Bound Math and Science Conquerors is accepting applications for the Director position.

Examples of Duties

• Plan, implement, administer, coordinator, monitor, and evaluate the various specific activities, functions and services for the Program.
• Develop and modify program goals, objectives, services, activities and policies, in accordance with student needs, institutional objectivities and resources and funding agency requirements.
• Develop and administer the program operating budget.
• Supervise and carry out a variety of tasks associated with the recruitment, testing and selection of program participants.
• Supervise and carry out planning tasks associated with the summer residential program.
• Supervise the summer program, including staff and participant supervision, coordinating of activities.
• Compile and disseminate information to the public regarding program services.
• Assist in supervising part-time and/or student counselors and coordinators associated with the program, as well as program office staff.
• Supervise and carry out post-secondary placement of students and provide assistance to students and families throughout the college application and financial aid application process.
• Monitor academic progress of students through regular contact with school personnel, program personnel, students and family.
• Performs other duties assigned.

Typical Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Counseling, Education or Psychology preferred Education or related field and at least four years of related experience.
• All Degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution.
• Knowledge and understanding of TRIO and the functions of College Access.
• Programs Knowledge and proficiency in computers, Blumen, Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge about STEM.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative and responsibility for scheduling individual sessions with program participants.
• Ability to meet deadlines and with attention to detail.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and computer applications.
• Strong planning, administrative, organizational, supervisory skills, and budget management skill.
