Teacher, Teacher Assistant​/ Paraprofessional

Jackson Public Schools is the third-largest school district in Mississippi, serving nearly 17,000 scholars across 35 schools, including high, middle, and elementary schools as well as special program schools. Located in Jackson, Mississippi, the state's capital and only urban municipality with approximately 170,000 residents, the district covers 104 square miles. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Teacher at Jackson Public Schools located in Jackson, MS. The Teacher will be responsible for delivering quality education to students, developing and implementing lesson plans that meet curriculum standards, and fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Day-to-day tasks include assessing student progress, communicating effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, and supporting the academic and personal development of students.

The Teacher will also participate in training sessions and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification is required
