Mississippi Public Broadcasting is committed to delivering quality programming and engaging content that informs, educates, and inspires our community. As the Social Media Content Creator, you will work with the Communications team to create and produce engaging videos, design graphics, and generate social media content across all platforms, utilizing AI tools and scheduling platforms for streamlined content flow. This role is responsible for content creation, scheduling, and ensuring the timely delivery of posts according to the strategist‑approved calendar.

• Edit short‑form and long‑form video for use across social and other applications.
• Design and produce high‑quality visual content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter/X, and Linked In, as well as website and app.
• Engage in AI tools and platforms for the best ways to streamline digital efforts.
• Schedule social media posts based on strategist‑approved calendars, ensuring timely and accurate content delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align content with organizational goals and campaigns.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality.
• Stay up to date with social media trends and best practices to continually improve engagement.
• Assist Art Department Manager with additional digital platform graphics.

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Premiere Pro and Microsoft 365 Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and emerging trends in the media landscape.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Knowledge of Sprout Social, or other social scheduling platforms.

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Media, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in production or a multimedia field.
• One (1) to two (2) years of experience in production or a multimedia field (agency preferred).

This position is classified as State Service. Non‑Exempt, EOE, M‑F.
