This is a time limited position (NS-14). The Graphic Design and Web Manager serve as MDHS s primary visual brand manager and web content strategist. This role requires a self-motivated professional who thrives managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional quality and brand consistency across all platforms.
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Communications Officer, you ll work closely with the Communications team to deliver end-to-end graphic design and web content solutions.
- Primary Responsibilities
• Manage and design all visual content for MDHS divisions and programs across internal and external platforms - • Oversee MDHS.MS.gov website content, including page updates, forms, and new web content creation
- • Coordinate graphic design projects from concept to publication, managing timelines and expectations
- • Analyze website performance using Google Analytics to optimize user experience and content strategy
- Supporting Responsibilities
• Design all print materials (handbooks, guides, forms, publications) and manage agency print inventory - • Edit the MDHS digital newsletter
- • Support Video Production Manager with photographing agency events
- • Assist with special events coordination and presentation materials
- • Provide backup support for social media platforms
- • Collaborate on video projects with the Video Production Manager
- • Support crisis and disaster response communications as needed

- Technical Skills
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) - • Strong knowledge of Word Press and content management systems
- • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, Meltwater, Hootsuite, Critical Mention
- • Working knowledge of data tools (Excel, Smartsheet, SharePoint, Power
BI, or Jira)
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 1-2 years of experience. Agency preferred qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in graphic design, Digital Communication, Marketing, or related field - 2-4 years in a similar graphic design/web management role
- Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics)
