The Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration is the primary agency responsible for state government financial and administrative operations, including employee payroll, vendor payments, employee insurance, construction, maintenance, and protection of state buildings in the Capitol Complex, financial information management systems, management of the state’s vehicle fleet, and numerous other relatedÒ activities. This position is in the accounts payable department within the Office of Fiscal Management and is responsible for reviewing financial documents for accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations, performing other duties and special projects as assigned, and working closely with agencies to resolve any issues with accounts payableisitiri documents.

This position will require knowledge of accounting and auditing standards; the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; and the ability to work with a complex accounting system independently.

Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 0-2 years of experience.
