Facilities Maintenance Technician

Stefanini Group is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician in Jackson, MI 49201. The position is 100% onsite at 1100 Technology Dr.

• During training: first shift 6:00 am – 2:30 pm.
• After training: second shift 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime is required.

• Understand and comply with facility safety rules and regulations.
• Work safely in a chemical hazardous area with appropriate PPE.
• Install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment such as pumps, gears, motors, valves, and other utilities (HVAC, boilers, air compressors, etc.).
• Fabricate equipment as needed (metal welding, TIG, MIG, stick, cutting, plasma, angle grinder).
• Inspect machines for malfunctions through visual checks and scheduled testing.
• Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on production machinery.
• Conduct emergency repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery and adjacent workplace, following scheduled inspections.
• Follow work orders for service, modification, or installation of machinery.
• Assist the Maintenance Team Lead and other employees with work orders as directed.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in maintenance field required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fabrication preferred.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools required.
• Willingness to learn pipe fitting and welding required.
• Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, metal fabrication, and electrical preferred.
• Work shift flexibility (first or second shift) required.
• Availability for weekend and overtime work required.
• Potential to work at heights for brief periods.
