Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Michigan requiring advanced EFM certification and NRP.

• Work within a Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM
• Every other weekend is required
• 13-week contract
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• May float to a nearby sister hospital
• COVID vaccine is mandatory
• Must complete all required online modules onsite one week prior to start date
• Teamwork and leadership in coordination and delivery of compassionate patient care are expected
• Participation in planning solutions for patient care variances is required
• Allow at least two weeks for background check and drug screen results after offer

• Active Michigan RN license
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Certifications required:
  American Heart Association (AHA) BLS, NRP, and advanced EFM certification (AWHONN courses do not qualify for advanced EFM)
• Ability to complete onsite online modules prior to start with a passing score
• Strong clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective care plans
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams
