** The Impact You'll Make*
* Danfoss Hydraulics Division is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Technician to join our team. This position is based at our Jackson, Michigan facility and is a 1st Shift position.
_The Manufacturing Engineering Technicican will mainly be tasked with utilizing an ERP system to create routes and BOM's for components that go to hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders._
** _This position requires the use of information or access to technology which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). * ** What You'll Be Doing*
* Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
+ Reviewing Product Engineering design packets
+ Creating routes and BOM's in SAP
+ Review dashboard for assigned tasks in Salesforce
+ Process orders as needed in SAP
+ Close out jobs when completed
+ Attend meetings in person and via Teams
+ Plant Metrics such as OTD and Past Due
+ Cell metrics such as Quality and/or COPQ
** _Working with the following teams, for cross functional collaboration:_*
* + Product Engineering
+ Supply Chain Team
+ Customer Service Representatives
+ CNC Programming Team
+ Shop floor operators
** What We're Looking For*
* Basic Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or GED is required
+ Must be able to read and interpret complex blueprints.
+ Must be competent in the use of calipers, micrometers, verniers, indicators and various other measuring instruments.
+ Must have the equivalent of one (1) or more years' experience in set up and operation of CNC mills and/or lathes.
+ Responsible for verification adherence to all applicable quality standards.
+ Strong computer skills
+ Background in processing machined components
+ Blueprint reading
+ Working with multiple departments/team members
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Ability to create Part Records and Bill of Materials in SAP.
+ Knowledge of M.S. Office business programs (excel, word, access......) preferred.
+ Minimum of one (1) year of experience/ knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP).
+ Ability to handle multiple roles within a team/cell format.
+ Minimum of one (1) year of shop floor processes and plant manufacturing strategy experience.
+ Associates or bachelor's degree in related field.
