The Scheduling Coordinator will coordinate and schedule surgeries, post-op appointments, surgical clearances, pre-admission testing, procedures, diagnostic testing, and referrals. In addition this person will obtain insurance authorizations and provide patient education.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Experience in a clinical or health care setting
• Ability to maintain a high standard of customer service and observance of organization protocol
• Ability to maintain team-oriented relationships with managers, physicians, and other clinical staff.
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate issues and suggest strategies to address and/or improve those issues.
• Highly organized and meticulous about details.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid understanding and knowledge of medical terminology
• Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of two years of scheduling experience
• Next Gen experience
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD9, ICD
