Night Shift Direct Care Worker (Transportation)Shift: 4 10‑hour night shift (Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday). Shifts available: 7 p‑5 a or 9 p‑7 a. $3.00 premium.
Are you passionate about mental health and helping others through crisis? Join our dedicated team as a Direct Care Worker and make a real impact in the lives of individuals on their journey toward recovery and resilience.
What You’ll Do:- Providing calm, compassionate, and respectful care at all times.
- Supporting residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, cooking, and mobility.
- Encouraging meaningful engagement and helping individuals identify personal goals, strengths, and interests.
- Monitoring safety with regular checks and providing hands‑on support as needed.
- Assisting with medication administration and documentation.
- Facilitating therapeutic and educational groups.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, nurses, and mental health professionals.
- Supporting crisis intervention and de‑escalation efforts with empathy and skill.
- Promoting recovery, resilience, and community integration.
- Foster trusting relationships through consistent, empathetic communication.
- Respond effectively to individuals in crisis, using non‑restrictive interventions.
- Document progress, shift updates, and incident reports in our EMR (LEO).
- Assist with developing coping skills, community living skills, and access to resources.
- Encourage participation in meaningful activities, education, and employment.
- Support consumers and their families in navigating the mental health system.
- Passion for helping others and making a difference in mental health care.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond compassionately to individuals in crisis.
- Commitment to person‑centered care and trauma‑informed practices.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and implement emergency procedures and interventions.
- Experience in behavioral health is a plus, but more importantly, a desire to grow and support others is essential.
