Under the direction of the Outpatient Billing Supervisor, the Reimbursement Specialist supports Life Ways Finance Department by ensuring timely, accurate billing and reimbursement from Medicare, third-party insurers, and self-pay accounts. This role focuses on submitting clean claims, posting payments, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards to maximize revenue and support organizational operations.

• Generate accurate and timely billing for all insurance providers to maximize reimbursement
• Submit and process electronic insurance claims; support provider claims and credentialing as needed
• Post cash receipts to consumer and insurance accounts and monitor outstanding balances
• Enter and maintain accurate insurance information in the LEO system
• Distribute monthly self-pay statements and Explanations of Benefits (EOBs)
• Ensure compliance with CARF, MDHHS, and Life Ways policies and procedures
• Maintain confidentiality of consumer and financial records
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and special projects as assigned
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance
