Program Finance Analyst – Eaton’s IS AER FED Division
Location:
within 50 miles of any Eaton FED US facility (Jackson, MI, Torrance, CA, Rumford, RI, Bethel, CT, Glenolden, PA, Beltsville, MD, Beachwood, OH, Middlesex, NC). Hybrid role.
Salary range: $93,750.03 – $ per year (general guideline).
What You’ll DoThis position supports the financial activities of the Program Management and Engineering functions for the Fluid and Electrical Distribution (FED) division. Responsibilities include program financial measurement and reporting, contract accounting, new business proposals support, partnership with engineering and program management to analyze and report cost drivers, and forecasting of R&D and program expenses on a monthly basis.
Essential Functions- Monitor and communicate program management spend for the division and provide variance interpretation.
- Prepare monthly reports on all major programs, including IRR, NPV, shipset cost, and spending variance analyses.
- Business partner with program managers to control costs, maximize revenue from scope changes, ensure prompt milestone invoicing, mitigate risks, and manage the budget.
- Complete Estimate to Complete calculations (ETC) when required by contract and ensure management review and approval.
- Actively participate in the pro‑launch process and provide necessary financial analysis for gate reviews.
- Assist in preparing strategic plans, annual profit plans, and monthly rolling forecasts for major programs and the Gross R&D budget across plants and programs.
- Support proposal management by contributing financial analysis for new program proposals, capital investments, and potential new product endeavors.
- Assist engineering and program management in identifying financial risks and developing mitigation plans.
- Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes and participate in cross‑functional teams.
- Serve as Oracle Time & Labor (OTL) support for all NA sites, ensuring timely and accurate reporting and forecasting of project spend.
- Partner with engineering to forecast and report progress on IR&D and sustaining spend.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum 2 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of finance experience.
- Position requires access to export‑controlled information; applicant must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
- Relocation benefit not provided; only candidates residing within the specified 50‑mile area will be considered. Active‑Duty Military Service members are exempt.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
- MBA, CPA, CMA.
- Strong technical expertise in US GAAP/IAS, especially for commercial/government long‑term development and production contracts.
- Experience leading teams and managing multiple projects; strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven leadership and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with computerized accounting systems and tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ERP).
- Working knowledge of SOP 81‑1 and EITF 99‑5.
