Job Title: Project Scheduler III
Location: Jackson, MI
Job Type: W2 Contract
Expected Hours per Week: 40 hours per week
Schedule: 8am-5pm EST - Hybrid
Pay: $60 per hour
SummaryThe Project Scheduler is responsible for organizing, implementing, and maintaining the project scheduling management system in support of assigned projects and programs. This role ensures project activities align with contract requirements, monitors schedule performance, and provides accurate reporting to support effective project execution and decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 in support of contract requirements.
- Establish tasks and sub‑tasks, log timelines, and maintain accurate schedule data within the P6 database.
- Monitor schedule progress, analyze critical path and variances, and identify potential risks or problem areas.
- Evaluate schedule impacts, support change management, and recommend recovery or alternative work plans as needed.
- Prepare and distribute schedule reports and status updates for project coordination and management review.
- Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to define scope, coordinate work, and update schedules.
- Support weekly schedule updates in coordination with project managers, superintendents, and field engineers.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with project teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to actively participate in meetings and clearly convey schedule‑related information.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6, including:
- Layouts
- Activity codes
- Resources
- Grouping and sorting
- Schedule reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- PMP or other PMI certification (preferred, not required).
- PSP, CST, or other AACEI certification (preferred, not required).
- Knowledge of schedule quality practices related to P6 schedules.
- Familiarity with project gating procedures.
- Prior experience working on gas storage projects.
- Minimum requirement:
High School Diploma or equivalent. - Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree will be considered an advantage during candidate selection.
