The Business Support Advisor will provide operational, documentation, and data management support for the Electric Supply Engineering Team, which oversees engineering activities for new generation assets, including utility-scale solar and wind projects. This role is responsible for driving visual management, ensuring data integrity, coordinating documentation workflows, and managing the team's SharePoint environment. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, IT, and other project support teams.
Key Responsibilities SharePoint & Data Management- Own, manage, and administer the team’s SharePoint site, ensuring proper structure, permissions, and version control for confidential and non-confidential data.
- Develop and maintain data repositories, dashboards, and document libraries to support engineering workflows.
- Ensure accurate and timely organization of all engineering documents.
- Coordinate RFIs, drawings, submittals, engineering packages, specs, and technical documents for large-scale renewable generation projects (solar, wind).
- Track document status, maintain logs, and ensure proper routing and approvals.
- Serve as documentation liaison between engineering teams and external/internal stakeholders.
- Support development of visual management tools for reporting and performance monitoring.
- Assist in creation of PowerPoint presentations, dashboards, and business review materials.
- Help maintain business processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work closely with engineering teams, IT, and other supporting organizations to ensure streamlined data flow and process alignment.
- Participate in internal team meetings, reviewing engineering priorities, document status, and unresolved action items.
- Support project scheduling, deliverable tracking, and administrative tasks across multiple engineering projects.
- Maintain action logs, prepare meeting summaries, and monitor departmental workflows.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, document controls, and audit requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field of study.
- 2+ years of experience as a Project Coordinator, Business Support Specialist, or Documentation Specialist.
- Strong proficiency in SharePoint (site management, permissions, structure setup).
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, reporting, data management).
- Strong PowerPoint skills for creating presentations and visual management.
- Experience using Power BI dashboards or interacting with BI teams.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting engineering, utilities, renewable energy, or construction projects.
- Familiarity with RFI workflows, document control, and engineering deliverables.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical and IT teams.
- Knowledge of large utility-scale solar or wind project documentation is a plus.
