Overview
Adjunct instructor positions teach Geology courses in the Corrections Education Program (CEP) in St. Louis. CEP courses are face‑to‑face within correctional institutions and require background screening clearance from the Michigan State LEIN. Adjunct assignments vary semester to semester based on enrollment; some semesters may have no assignments available.
Essential Functions- Evaluate and grade students’ class work, assignments, and papers.
- Prepare and deliver instructional materials—including syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts—in person and/or online.
- Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
- Compile, administer, and grade examinations.
- Participate in required reporting processes (grades, participation, etc.).
- Assist students in connecting to college resources.
- Master’s degree or higher in Geology, OR Master’s degree or higher in another field with 18 graduate credits in Geology.
