We are seeking a highly skilled and board-certified Rheumatologist with fellowship training to provide exceptional adult and geriatric care in Jackson, Michigan. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to support patients requiring joint aspirations, injections, and comprehensive rheumatology services in a collaborative setting. Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Rheumatology
- Fellowship training in Rheumatology
- Valid medical license and ability to credential within 90-120 days
- Proficiency in performing joint aspirations and corticosteroid injections
- Excellent clinical judgment and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with electronic medical records, preferably Epic
- Ability to handle a patient load of approximately 16-18 patients daily in the clinic
Skills:
- Prior experience in hospital-based rheumatology care
- Ability to manage emergency or urgent rheumatologic cases
- Familiarity with Level 2 trauma hospital settings
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with multidisciplinary staff
Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completed fellowship in Rheumatology
- Minimum of 2 years of post-fellowship clinical practice preferred
- Availability to start as soon as credentialed (anticipated start date in late March or early April)
- Participation in a two-week per month on-call schedule (Tuesday-Monday, 24-hour hospital call, 1:2 ratio)
- Travel reimbursement considerations for local providers and those willing to accommodate travel expenses
- Ability to coordinate clinic and hospital-based care seamlessly
