Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in an Operating Room, Surgical Stay Unit, or similar clinical setting

Proficient with EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system

Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills

OR RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care to surgical patients in the Surgical Stay Unit

Monitor patient status, assess vital signs, and respond promptly to changes in condition

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers

Accurately document all aspects of patient care using the EPIC EMR system

Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams

Educate patients and families on surgical procedures, recovery, and post-operative care
