Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

Location:

Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York nursing jobs)

Assignment Length:

13 weeks (February 17, 2025 – May 19, 2025)

Healthcare Setting:

Cardiac Services – Stepdown Unit

Shift:

Variable 10-hour shifts, 4 shifts per week

Guaranteed

Hours:

40 hours per week

Schedule:

Every other holiday and every other weekend required

Employment Type:

Travel nursing assignment

Estimated Weekly Pay:

$2,330 – $2,500

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or acute care nursing setting

Experience with EPIC EMR required

Current BLS certification (AHA)

Strong clinical assessment, cardiac monitoring, and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care to adults recovering from cardiac procedures and acute cardiac conditions

Monitor cardiac rhythms, administer cardiac medications, and perform comprehensive nursing assessments

Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

Educate patients and families on cardiac health, recovery, and discharge planning

Accurately document patient care and interventions using EPIC EMR

Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
