Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state
• At least 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience (OR nursing experience required)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced surgical and clinical environment

Operating Room RN Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to provide high-quality clinical support
• Maintain a sterile environment before, during, and after surgeries
• Monitor patient status and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care and surgical procedures
• Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient assessments and education
