• End Date: November 28, 2024
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Shift Options: Variable – 3x12 hour shifts or 4x10 hour shifts preferred
• On Call: 1 weekend day (24 hr) in a 6-week rotation, plus weekday call
• Flexible Scheduling: Yes
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1930-$2070

• Active RN license (Registered Nurse, New York nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience
• Preoperative nursing experience preferred
• Experience with Meditech preferred (not required)
• Peripheral nerve block experience preferred
• Pediatric nursing experience (age 6 months and older) preferred
• BLS certification required

• Deliver patient care in both Phase I and Phase II recovery within the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU)
• Manage a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, including simultaneous care of two Phase I patients
• Care for pediatric and adult patients undergoing diverse procedures (ENT, orthopedic, general surgery, neurosurgery, plastics, urology, gynecology, and more)
• Assist in recovery of ICU and endoscopy (MAC) patients
• Support local procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, and minor orthopedic interventions
• Provide nursing care for both inpatient and outpatient procedures, including elective, urgent, and emergent cases
• Document patient care using Meditech and paper charting as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotations
