NICU RN Job Details – Ithaca, NY

• Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Unit: NICU – Maternal Child Health
• Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Contract
• Start Date: June 16, 2025
• End Date: September 15, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts/week)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100 - $2250 per week

NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (NYS RN license)
• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience; NICU or post-partum nursing experience preferred
• Associate of Applied Science in Nursing or higher degree
• BLS certification required upon hire
• ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within 6 months of hire
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and finger movements, light lifting, and stand or walk for extended periods

NICU Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to NICU and Maternal Child Health patients in a clinical setting
• Collaborate with nursing leadership and adhere to standards set by AWONN, ACOG, NNA, and AORN
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care addressing physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team and families
• Operate medical equipment safely and efficiently as required for neonatal and maternal care
