STUDENT- Orchestra Assistant

Job Description

Hours per week: 10

The successful applicant will have a strong familiarity and involvement with the Orchestra Area at Ithaca College (i.e. ensemble singing/playing, music performance/education studies). They will consult regularly with the Director of Orchestra Activities and area faculty to support orchestra activities in the following capacities:

• Maintain superlative attendance and participation in ensembles and performances.
• Mass communication to ensembles with details related to music, scheduling, events, and participation.
• Recording accurate attendance for ensembles as assigned.
• Act as liaison between student and professor.
• Organize information related to other student leadership opportunities.
• Organize information related to concert programming.

The successful applicant will interview with faculty and will be expected to respond to discussion prompts on optimal work ethic, dependability, and feasible areas of administrative assistance. Questions regarding this position may be directed to Professor Kwok.

Pay Rate: 15.50
