Requirements:
The ART Design Teaching Assistant is an Art Major or Minor who has completed ART 12000: 2-D Design and/or ART 22500 Graphic Design I and demonstrates strong familiarity with design processes and design studio/Computer lab protocols.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The TA supports the instructor in and out of class sessions, assists with a large class of 2D students with materials - helping them to measure, cut with exacto knife, use the copy machine, pin up wall critiques and general tasks.
TA may help faculty with preparing course materials, assisting with classroom activities, library research, image search, and bibliographic needs. Possible mentoring of students and hosting tutoring sessions outside of class in addition to engaging with students during class time. Support for Graphic Design II, would require work in the Gannett Computer lab with some software skills required (knowledge of printers, scanners, software/creative suite).
Pay Rate: $16.00
