* A minimum age of 16 is required for this position.

* Thorough knowledge of the Itasca Park District Waterpark Concessions and Cashier Manual.
* Ability to handle money and to process cash, debit and credit card transactions.
* Communicates with the Aquatic & Facility Supervisor, Concessions and Admissions Manager and Waterpark Manager on issues and activities related to the Waterpark Concessions or admission to the facility.
* Reviews, understands and enforces the policies and procedures outlined in the Itasca Park District Procedures Manual with respect to the safe and effective operations of the Recreation & Facilities Department and Safety Program.
* Establishes good working relationships with patrons, the community, and the public.
* Attends work on a regular basis.
* Maintains a clean, safe and organized work environment.
* Performs any additional job duties, which may be considered essential, as assigned by the Aquatic & Facility Supervisor and the Waterpark Manager.
* Opens and closes the concession or admissions area, depending on scheduling.
* Sets up and cleans concession equipment and supplies at the beginning, during and at the end of each shift.
* Inventories, orders, displays and rotates concession items as needed.
* Prepares and serves concession items in a safe, clean, hygienic, and efficient manner.
* Handles concession transactions and processes cash, debit and credit card payments appropriately.
* Opens and closes out the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts and completes appropriate batch and deposit paperwork accurately.
* Completes all necessary daily reports, cash reports and inventory forms.
* Anticipates customer flows and product needs and handles customers in a friendly and polite manner.
* Follows and enforces waterpark rules, policies and regulations to ensure the safe use of the waterpark
* Must possess strength, stamina and mobility to perform heavy physical work.
* Incumbent will repeatedly stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, finger, grasp, feel, sit, lift, carry, push and pull materials and equipment, and swim while wearing an appropriate uniform with protective equipment.
* Ability to lift light weights 0-25 pounds or greater in the concession stand.
* Work is primarily performed at an outdoor public waterpark where exposure to varying levels of heat/cold temperatures, varying humidity, dry or rainy conditions and exposure to climate extremes is likely.
* Prolonged time spent in the concession and admission areas of the waterpark, however there is regular exposure to wet surfaces.
* Vision is required to read printed materials, computer screens, and utilize equipment in the concession and admissions areas.
* Hearing and speech is required to communicate in person, over a telephone or radio
* Exposure to chlorine, acids, lotions, and other aquatic chemicals while maintaining the waterpark cleanliness and safety, as well as blood and body fluids exposure when rendering first aid and CPR.
