The RoleWe are seeking a high-energy, strategic, and results-driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead our growth efforts within the Midwest Region. This is a dual-focus leadership role: you will be the architect of our regional sales strategy while simultaneously overseeing marketing initiatives that align with our brand's reputation for excellence.
The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the lighting or trade show industries and has a proven track record of managing long-cycle B2B relationships.
Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership (Midwest Focus)- Regional Growth:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to expand DS&L's footprint across Illinois and the broader Midwest. - Account Management:
Cultivate and maintain senior-level relationships with key exhibit houses, retail designers, and corporate partners. - Revenue Optimization:
Identify new market opportunities and vertical segments to diversify the company's revenue streams. - Technical Consultation:
Work closely with clients to provide custom lighting and supply solutions tailored to their specific project needs.
- Brand Stewardship:
Oversee the creation of marketing collateral, digital content, and trade show presence to ensure a consistent, premium brand message. - Lead Generation:
Implement data-driven marketing campaigns to feed the sales pipeline. - Product Launch:
Collaborate with the operations and product teams to bring new lighting technologies to market with high impact.
- Experience:
7–10+ years of progressive experience in B2B Sales and Marketing, preferably within the lighting, trade show, or architectural supply industries. - Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred). - Leadership:
Proven ability to lead by example, influence stakeholders, and manage complex negotiations. - Communication:
Exceptional presentation skills and the ability to translate technical product features into value-based client benefits. - Regional Knowledge:
Strong existing network within the Midwest business community.
