OverviewLabcorp, recognized by Forbes as one of the World’s Best Employers and by Fast Company as one of the Most Innovative Companies, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead growth within our Hospital and Health Systems segment across the North Central Division. This senior-level, field-based leadership role focuses on building high-impact partnerships with some of the largest and most influential health systems in the region.
You’ll join a mission-driven organization that supports over 160 million patient encounters annually through cutting-edge diagnostics, drug development, and technology-enabled solutions.
As health systems face increasing financial pressures, operational complexity, and evolving care delivery models, they actively seek strategic partners to navigate these challenges. This role is critical in positioning Labcorp as the partner of choice—demonstrating how our scale, innovation, and integrated solutions deliver measurable value.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and inspire a high-performing team of hospital sales and account management professionals
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans in collaboration with divisional and regional leadership
- Drive new reference lab partnerships with major health systems across the territory
- Identify and pursue M&A and strategic partnership opportunities aligned with Labcorp’s growth objectives
- Cultivate executive-level relationships and negotiate complex, high-value contracts
- Represent Labcorp’s full portfolio of diagnostic and technology-enabled solutions
- Leverage data and market insights to forecast performance and refine strategy
- Champion Labcorp’s value proposition in a competitive and rapidly evolving healthcare landscape
- Represent Labcorp at industry events, conferences, and executive forums
- Hire, coach, and develop top sales talent while fostering a culture of performance and collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree required;
Business or Finance preferred - Minimum of 5 years of sales or account management experience in a hospital or health system setting, or 5+ years in hospital laboratory leadership
- At least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Proven experience navigating large health system contracting processes
- Strong relationships with hospital decision-makers and influencers
- Demonstrated success in building and leading high-performing sales teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales enablement tools
- Willingness to travel up to 50% within the territory
- Must reside within the territory (IN, IL, OH, KY, WI, MI, WV, MO, or PA)

Pay Range: $160,000–$200,000 + sales incentive plan
All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. The position is also eligible for bonus and/or commissions under the applicable variable compensation plan. Bonus/commissions are earned based on achievement of performance metrics under the plan.

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Casual, PRN & Part Time employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan only.
