As the Industrial Designer
, you will take ownership of individual projects across the Fellowes Interiors portfolio – including Contract Interiors, Architectural Solutions, and Air Quality Management – turning insights and opportunities into innovative, design-forward, commercially viable solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners such as Engineering, Marketing, CMF, and Project Management to bring ideas to life from early concept exploration through final execution. This role requires a passion for creating inspiring, human-centered design solutions, as well as an eagerness to learn and grow.

• Translate consumer insights, market trends, and product requirements into innovative and compelling design solutions
• Create inspiring advanced design solutions through sketches, renderings, and iterative physical or digital prototypes
• Develop conceptual CAD models and prepare 3D packages to support product development
• Collaborate closely with cross functional teams to ensure design intent is maintained while ensuring product viability and feasibility
• Present design concepts to internal and external stakeholders, communicating rationale, storytelling, and design intent with clarity

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Industrial Design
• Proficient 2D/3D skills in key design applications such as Solid Works, Key Shot, Adobe CC, and emerging generative-AI design tools.
• Strong Design Sense with the ability to communicate concepts and form through rapid sketching, 3D visualization, and iterative prototyping.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design intent across multiple disciplines.
• Comfortable giving and receiving creative feedback in a collaborative team environment
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to independently manage timelines and balance multiple projects simultaneously.
• Flexible, self-driven, and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

The hiring range for this position in Itasca, is $75,000 to $85,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors. An annual incentive may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
