Billing Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Itasca, Illinois. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate billing processes and supporting financial operations. This position requires a strong focus on precision and efficiency, working within a set schedule from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Responsibilities:

- Process and audit invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks with precision.

- Utilize accounting software systems, including Epic and EHR, for billing operations.

- Respond to inbound calls and provide exceptional customer service related to billing inquiries.

- Maintain organized records of financial transactions and billing documentation.

- Collaborate with internal teams to verify billing data and resolve discrepancies.

- Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy.

- Generate financial reports and summaries based on billing activities.

- Ensure timely completion of billing processes within specified deadlines. Requirements

- Proven experience in billing or financial services roles.

- Proficiency in accounting software systems such as Epic, EHR, and About Time.

- Familiarity with computerized billing systems and financial operations.

- Strong knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to audit financial data effectively.

- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

- Effective communication skills, including handling inbound calls professionally.

- Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range for this position is $23.00/hr to $27.00/hr benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
