Located in our Itasca, IL office, our Senior Staff Accountant will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization and serve as a lead point of contact in the accounting department.

• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Team is responsible for reconciling 16 operating/petty cash accounts & 450 balance sheet accounts across 5 business units.
• Ensure payrolls for each BU tie between UKG & D365 prior to posting.
• Prepare month‑end journal entries, along with necessary supporting documentation.
• Analyze cash and bank transactions weekly to ensure properly recorded.
• Research accounting questions from business unit personnel and Corporate.
• Research and review reconciling items or accounting issues, recommend or resolve issues.
• Support annual audit procedures through data gathering, variance explanations, and documentation preparation.
• Ad‑hoc requirements – supporting the business with any ad‑hoc reporting or request. Such areas may include system implementation/enhancements, local tax reporting and compliance, acquisition and integration support and other special projects as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 5 years of senior experience
• Prior extensive ownership of the monthly close cycle in a multi‑site environment ideally complex/growing.
• Advanced user skills with Excel Spreadsheets.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Organized with the ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbal.
• Acquisition experience in a PE‑backed company is a strong bonus.

This position is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand, as necessary.

This job operates in both an office and a field environment. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
