Main Responsabilities and Duties
Design and build scalable RESTful APIs using Java & Spring Boot
Architect and maintain backend services powering genomics data platforms
Work with relational databases (Postgre

SQL / MySQL)
Work with No

SQL databases (Mongo

DB / Redis or similar)
Optimize performance for data-heavy workloads
Collaborate closely with frontend developers, bioinformaticians, and product teams
Write clean, testable, and well-documented code
Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions

Requirements
1–3 years of backend development experience
Strong knowledge of Java & Spring ecosystem
Solid understanding of REST API design principles

Experience with both SQL and No

SQL databases
Understanding of data modeling and system design basics
Familiarity with version control (Git)
Good problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to Have
Experience working with large datasets
Exposure to bioinformatics or genomics (not mandatory!)
Experience in startup environments
Understanding of cloud-native architectures
