Your Responsibilities

Design and evolve high-traffic backend services that power our end-to-end shopping experience — from product discovery to delivery.
Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data analysts, and fellow engineers to turn insights and ideas into production-ready features with short release cycles.
Contribute to architectural decision-making, ensuring resilience, scalability, and smooth performance across a modern, distributed system.
Shape and refine integrations across logistics, ERP, CRM, BI, payments, customer service and product-data pipelines — making complex systems work seamlessly together.
Work across key customer-facing domains such as search & recommendations, checkout & payment, loyalty & acquisition, and account self-services.
Champion engineering excellence within your team — mentoring peers, improving tooling, and continuously raising the quality bar.

Your Qualifications

Extensive hands-on experience with Java or Kotlin, ideally in complex environments; e-commerce or high-scale systems are a strong plus.
Practical exposure to JavaScript/Type Script and modern front-end frameworks (Vue.js preferred, others welcome).
Familiarity with cloud-native ecosystems such as Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, microservices, and distributed systems.
Comfortable with pair programming and collaborative workflows.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Git Lab) and application observability (Datadog, Grafana).
Passion for both greenfield and brownfield work — from building new services with the latest tech, to untangling and modernizing large existing systems (monolith decomposition experience is a plus).
Fluency in English; additional languages (German/Spanish) are beneficial but not required.
