Overview
Are you looking for your next opportunity? Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Senior Underwriter Property in our Milan office. In the expanding process of our Italian team, the role we are looking for will work closely with the Head of Property for Italy and collaborate with the team members, providing an important contribution in the growth of the relevant portfolio.
Location:

What you’ll be doing
Contribute the positioning of Sompo as an increasingly significant player in the local Property market.
Collaborate within the team in the optimization and control of Domestic and Multinational Property portfolio.
Innovate and contribute to the development of a forward-thinking local underwriting strategy.
Share with other company functions experiences which can contribute Sompo to enhance uw processes.
Establish and strengthen relationships with key brokers.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to fuel growth.
Support the development of Property products.
Collaborate on defined projects in a growing and friendly team.
Foster a culture of innovation by actively sharing ideas within the Continental Europe Property community.
What You’ll Bring
7+ years of professional experience
Proven track record in underwriting profitable businesses
Excellent networking and relationships skills with clients and brokers
Sound knowledge of the local Property market
Deep knowledge on multinational Programs processes
Professional and proactive attitude
Analytical and critical thinking, self-motivation, creativity, flexibility, determination, discipline, proactivity, collaboration
Mindset to prioritize and plan to achieve objectives
Ability to build and enhance strong relationships, both internally and externally
Willingness to provide suggestions to improve procedures
Keen to demonstrate commitment to corporate values
Eager to take action to steer own personal development
Capability to train people
Fluent English
