The Role
WTW is expanding its Facultative Reinsurance operations in Italy and is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Facultative Reinsurance Broker to lead facultative placements, drive business development, and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver best-in-class solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze and assess risk transfer needs to design tailored facultative reinsurance solutions for WTW clients and cedants.
Manage and grow a portfolio of facultative reinsurance business, including both 1st and 3rd party placements.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with cedants, reinsurers, and other key stakeholders in the Italian insurance market.
Promote the use of facultative reinsurance across WTW business lines as part of a comprehensive market strategy.
Negotiate reinsurance terms and conditions to ensure optimal coverage and pricing.
Coordinate and prepare detailed placement submissions based on client requirements.
Oversee administrative aspects of facultative placements, including documentation and compliance.
Provide support on claims-related matters involving facultative reinsurance.
Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, and industry trends to inform broking strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
Proven experience in facultative reinsurance, ideally in a broker or underwriting capacity.
Deep understanding of reinsurance and insurance principles, including risk evaluation and pricing.
Strong commercial and analytical acumen with the ability to handle complex client needs.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Fluent in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
Proficiency with MS Office tools and reinsurance administration systems is a plus.
