The Senior Relationship Manager will join the Italian team, reporting directly to the Head of Client Coverage. From day one, the successful candidate will have significant exposure to senior leadership, including Managing Directors within CIB and executives from the International Banking division. The role involves close collaboration with Junior Bankers, fostering teamwork and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities Drive new corporate client acquisition and originate financing transactions in collaboration with the Sales Team and Product Specialists at the branch and headquarters
Lead financing transactions end-to-end, from responding to RFPs to structuring, negotiating, and executing deals
Organize and attend meetings with senior decision-makers (Group Treasurers, CFOs, CEOs) across diverse industries such as Pharma, Food & Beverages and chemicals
Liaise with internal Branch departments (Middle Office, Credit Analyst, Legal Compliance …)Liaise with relevant HQ teams (Syndicate Desk, Project Finance, Asset Finance, Trade & Working Capital Finance, ALM Desk) to structure and close transactions
Prepare memorandums and proposals for internal stakeholders
Participate in negotiations of structures and legal documentation for complex transactions
Develop innovative solutions and maintain a client-driven coverage approach
Qualifications
University degree; a Master’s or postgraduate degree is a plus Minimum 10 years of experience in a corporate client-facing role in Italy Strong knowledge of the Italian corporate landscape
Deep product expertise and a proven track record in managing key accounts within the food & beverage and/or pharmaceutical sectors.
Excellent relationships with Italian corporate decision-makers and a solid professional network
Proven track record of revenue generation
