As part of the Content Systems and Workflows unit, the Media Coordinator plays a key role in supporting and maintaining content creation workflows and best practices across the Olympic Channel ecosystem. The role requires proficiency with traffic, ingest, quality control, production asset management, media asset management, and content management systems. The Media Coordinator also serves as a first point of contact for workflow‑related support, working closely with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently while ensuring established support protocols are followed.
Responsibilities
Administer Production Asset Management (PAM), MAM/DAM systems in accordance with defined workflows and best practices.
Manage media and metadata accuracy across all systems, correcting errors where necessary to ensure consistency, reliability, and quality.
Oversee media lifecycle processes, including media deletion cycles and coordination with MCR operators to ensure timely media availability.
Assist with tracking, organizing, and performing quality control checks on digital and multimedia content prior to distribution.
Perform basic video editing and content preparation using Adobe Premiere Pro, including trimming, assembling, and preparing assets for review or publication.
Respond promptly to system or content issues, collaborating with Editorial, Technical, and Support teams to ensure timely resolution.
Qualifications
Demonstrated interest and experience in digital media, live event coverage, or broadcast production environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Audiovisual Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Multimedia, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in media coordination, content management, or a similar role, preferably within sports, live events, or digital platforms.
Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or similar non‑linear editing software for basic video editing and content preparation.
Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in metadata accuracy, content quality control, and workflow compliance.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
Proficiency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are an asset.
Flexible, adaptable, and proactive mindset with a strong focus on problem‑solving and process improvement.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within cross‑functional teams.
Fast learner with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to analyze situations from multiple perspectives.
