Within Specialty Polymers, the Commercial Excellence team is a global growth enablement partner, working hand-in-hand with markets, regions, and functions to unlock top-line growth and strengthen commercial effectiveness. The SpP Commercial Excellence team operates as an internal advisory and project management team. Our mandate is to support growing the GBU topline and market shares through a combination of capabilities, processes and tools:
Partner with the market teams to reflect on untapped full potential growth opportunities for selected end uses, identify where we want to win, articulate a unique value proposition and develop the commercial and innovation execution plan to bring new value faster to our key customers
Elevate Key Account Management capabilities to become the preferred supplier of today and tomorrow’s market leaders
Enable data-driven decision making through AI and digital solutions, enabling commercial teams to work better and faster (AI for leads generation, pricing, advanced analytics & Dashboarding)
Own and continuously improve key commercial excellence processes to maximize value capture:
Customer Segmentation, Channel Optimization, NPS, sales incentive structures
The team is globally set up, working side-by-side with regional commercial teams.
We count on you for:
As a Project Leader – Commercial Excellence , you will drive sustainable growth execution and deliver tangible business impact for the Specialty Polymers GBU.
Act as a business partner to Markets leadership and commercial teams across the globe to support the GBU growth: from performance diagnostics and insight generation to problem solving and execution
Partner with Marketing, R&I and Strategy in the Growth Dialogues to expand our strategic marketing to full potential thinking, ensure rapid growth delivery through R&I and Commercial execution
Partner with Regional Sales and Marketing leaders in the Winrooms to fast track the cross-functional execution of our commercial devpool
Champion data-driven decision making: leverage advanced analytics dashboard to perform sophisticated quantitative analyses and identify opportunities and gaps (e.g. market and customer dynamics, pricing and volume trends, portfolio and segment performance)
Structure and synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights and compelling narratives for senior stakeholders
Collaborate closely with Strategy, Marketing, Sales, R&I, Finance, IT / AI and other functions to translate strategy into execution
Contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial excellence processes and ways of working at GBU level, in alignment with the corporate framework
Supervise, coach & develop junior resources in the team (Business Analysts, Interns)
Build a strong personal network of influential partners within the GBU and across the Group
You will bring:
Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration from a top-tier institution
5+ years of experience in the commercial, marketing, strategy / business development domain, or in project management at a global industrial corporation OR top-tier consulting firm (Project Lead / Engagement Manager level)
Industry experience in chemicals / materials / manufacturing is preferred, but open to other B2B markets
Experience executing complex global projects with proven impact on profitability / cash / customer growth.
Experience working across functions, and presenting to senior executives to persuade actions, achieve outcomes
Knowledge of specific processes (ex: pricing, business rules / service levels execution, direct sales vs distributor channel implementation) related to sales and / or marketing is a plus.
