Area Lead Savings

Location: Via Milano

At ING Italy, we are building a strong and future-ready Daily Banking proposition with the customer at the center.
As Product Area Lead Savings, you will be responsible for shaping, growing and continuously improving our Savings proposition, covering Savings Accounts and Term Deposits.
In this role, you will also carry end-to-end accountability for the commercial performance of the savings book, including liability growth and customer retention.
You will combine proposition ownership, delivery leadership and commercial insight to create simple, attractive and sustainable savings solutions for our customers. Working in close collaboration with Technology, Finance, Marketing, Risk and the global ING Savings community, you will ensure our proposition delivers value for both customers and ING.
You will lead a team of Customer Journey Experts (CJEs) and work closely with engineering teams in a matrix setup.
Your responsibilities

Own and develop the Savings proposition for ING Italy, including Savings Accounts and Term Deposits
Define and evolve interest rate structures, interest calculation and payouts, and promotional rates
Be accountable for savings balance growth and retention
Design and steer retention and re‑investment initiatives, especially in the context of expiring promotional volumes
Drive customer engagement and balance growth through nudging and behavioural triggers
Design and execute promotional campaigns in close cooperation with Marketing and other stakeholders
Ensure strong end‑to‑end delivery, from idea to implementation and continuous optimisation
business priorities into clear roadmaps and backlog items together with Technology
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Business, Finance, Operations, Risk incl. Compliance
Actively contribute to and leverage the global ING Savings community
Lead, coach and develop a team of 5 Customer Journey Experts, fostering ownership, collaboration and a strong team spirit

Your profile

Experience in Retail Banking, preferably in Savings or related propositions
Strong sales and delivery mindset with experience in a digital and/or agile environment
Good understanding of Savings economics and P&L drivers

Experience with pricing, interest rates and promotional mechanics
Proven ability to work independently and take end‑to‑end ownership
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
A collaborative team player who enjoys working in a matrix and international context
Comfortable working with global stakeholders and communities

Fluent in English (Italian is a plus, but not mandatory)
