Your Responsibilities
Joining our Regional Business Development position in region South West Europe, you will be part of a dedicated team focused on managing business critical projects aimed at improving performance and identifying new growth opportunities in the region.
This is a versatile role with exposure to everything from launching new products and services across markets, developing and implementing commercial operating models, to driving global strategic priorities across the region. You will be executing business critical and complex projects aimed at improving regional performance trajectory by leveraging your problem‑solving toolbox and great stakeholder management skills.
Your role is international, covering region South West Europe:
France, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Portugal. You can expect travel days within the region when relevant and occasionally to Denmark. This role will report to the Business Development Lead for the South West Europe region.
Be an expert of the South West Europe markets and strategic consultant to the Managing Director’s: anticipate trends, translate insights into decision & challenge plans constructively.
Manage business critical projects across the South West Europe region and markets to improve our position, market share and profitability.
Work with global, regional and market-based organisation to improve performance and help unleash our full potential through strategic priorities.
Assist the Business Development Director and Regional EVP in identifying new trends and potential opportunities through in‑depth analysis and by applying a hypothesis driven approach to problem solving.
Be part of facilitating the regional business cycle, templates, and operationalise strategic priorities into meaningful and actionable priorities.
Assist the management team and region with analytical, problem solving & strategic capacity to identify areas of improvement and propose projects to be prioritised.
Play a key role in making the Business Development team a respected function within the full VELUX community by delivering outstanding results on all engagements.
Engage with Global Development and other Regional Development functions to cross share best practices.
Your Qualifications
You are an inspiring project leader with a drive for focusing on critical and value adding tasks. You enjoy hosting workshops, engaging and motivating people and getting everyone together to create something better than what we can do on our own. You are passionate about creating results, and you believe in an appreciative approach in the execution of change. You believe in authenticity and in recognising and respecting others for who they are while having a confident voice of their own.
Have master’s degree from a business school or university in a relevant subject such as economics or business.
Have recent Management Consulting Experience (3-6 years of experience) or in‑house Business Development experience with successful commercial engagements.
Have stakeholder management experience preferably from a large organisation.
Have extensive functional experience within strategy and commercial areas.
Possess a sophisticated problem‑solving toolbox and profound analytical capacity.
Solid toolkit for facilitating workshop and engaging people.
Thrive in a high pace environment and are highly motivated, self‑driven, structured, and outcome focused.
Are fluent in written and spoken English.
