Your mission
As a Business Development Manager, your primary focus will be to drive Nuvei’s growth in the Italian market by identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities. You will leverage your expertise in the payments or fintech industry to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, negotiate strategic partnerships, and deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs. Your deep understanding of the local market, combined with your sales acumen and communication skills, will be critical to Nuvei’s continued success in Italy.
Key responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Italian payments and fintech landscape.
Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to drive revenue growth and market share.
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Negotiate and close commercial agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, legal, etc.) to deliver customized solutions for clients.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to inform business strategy.
Represent Nuvei at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility.
Provide regular reporting on sales pipeline, forecasts, and market feedback to senior management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Proven experience (3+ years) in business development, sales, or partnerships within the payments or fintech industry.
Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and closing complex deals.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Fluency in both English and Italian (written and spoken).
Strong understanding of the Italian payments and fintech market.
Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
Willingness to travel as required within Italy and internationally.

Will be considered a strong plus

Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications.
Existing network of contacts within the Italian payments or fintech ecosystem.
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Familiarity with digital payment solutions, e-commerce, and emerging financial technologies.
