Job Description:

The Senior Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and timely month-end and year-end close processes. This role manages the accounting team, strengthens internal controls, partners cross-functionally, and supports audits and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities and duties:

*** Operational management of financial activities (recording daily bookkeeping data and preparing relevant accounting documents),
* Preparation of trial balance and general ledger on a quarterly basis (IFRS and Italian GAAP),
* Preparation and filing of the statutory annual accounts (in accordance with Italian GAAP),
* Preparation of the local tax returns, computations, appendices and appropriate supporting schedules for CIT, MBT and NWT,
* Preparation and filing of the annual and periodic VAT returns,
* Review the IFRS reporting package on consolidated and company level,
* Support of regular audits on group and company level,
* Support Tax and Finance Due Diligence within transactions,
* Support and set up “ad-hoc” financial projects.
* Process and distribute incoming invoices
* Settle and post cash transactions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
* Manage fixed asset accounting and related documentation.
* Review invoice approvals and post incoming invoices/credit card transactions.
* Prepare and organize weekly payment runs.
* Process and book expense reimbursements and travel costs
* Collaborate with headquarters and external suppliers for revenue accounting matters.
* Work closely with external auditors and tax consultants.
* Calculate and book loss allowances and individual adjustments.
