Job Overview

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Ensure at least five items per bag and protect contents.
• Follow best practices for bagging various types of bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bascarts for checkout.
• Offer help loading bags into customers’ cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Collect and return bascarts to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect trash inside store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout; locate products and conduct price checks.
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Practice preventive maintenance; inspect equipment and report repairs.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and appreciated.
• Adhere to all local, state, federal laws and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in a high‑paced, sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflict in a reasonable, non‑confrontational manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
