We have an exciting opening for a Medical Assistant. The Medical Assistant works with general methods and procedures, uses independent judgement to select the proper course of action, and reviews the work of subordinate technicians to ensure conformance with established guidelines. The role reports to the franchise owner/manager or designee and to client supervisors and managers.

• Comply with ATC Healthcare Services policies and procedures.
• Maintain records, prepare reports and correspondence.
• Knowledge of laboratory terminology and equipment as needed.
• Assist in analyzing blood, sputum, or other samples.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Provide patient care in a non-judgmental, non-discriminatory manner respecting cultural diversity and age appropriateness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Completion of a medical assistant course or comparable training required.
• National medical assistant certification may be required.
• At least one year of experience preferred, one year required.
• Current BLS CPR from the American Heart Association.
• Current Medical Assistant license required.

• Work sites vary.
• Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other infectious materials.
• Physical demands include reading medical equipment and documents, pushing carts, and handling medical equipment.
