Physio/ OT/ Paramedic - Functional Assessor - Islington

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

About the role

As a Functional Assessor, you will use your clinical expertise to assess how health conditions impact people’s daily lives and ability to work. This role blends medical knowledge with meaningful human connection, giving you the chance to support individuals while contributing to a fair and compassionate benefits system. You will carry out assessments both face‑to‑face and via video or phone, take detailed medical histories, and conduct physical examinations.

Your findings will inform high‑quality reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). You will work independently, yet as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team that values collaboration and continuous learning.

About you

You are a qualified healthcare professional with a passion for making a difference. You bring empathy, clinical insight, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.

• A registered Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, or Paramedic with at least 12 months of post‑registration UK experience
• Confident in clinical decision‑making, with a strong understanding of functional assessment
• Skilled communicator, able to build trust and ask the right questions
• Digitally capable, with experience using clinical software and systems
• Self‑motivated and organised, with a focus on quality and integrity
• Team‑oriented, ready to support colleagues and contribute to a positive working culture
