The Role – Science Teacher (ECT)

A mixed, mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Islington, rated Good by Ofsted, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science ECT to join their Science department from April or September 2026.

You will teach Biology, Chemistry, and Physics across KS3 and KS4, with full support to help you develop strong subject knowledge, effective behaviour management, and confident classroom practice. The Science department is well resourced and highly collaborative, with experienced teachers who are committed to supporting Early Career Teachers.

The school offers a strong ECT induction programme, including:

* Dedicated subject-specific mentoring

* Reduced timetable in line with ECT framework

* Regular observations with constructive feedback

* Access to high-quality CPD and training

This role is ideal for a Science ECT who is eager to develop their teaching practice, has a positive attitude, and is keen to work within a school with clear expectations and effective behaviour systems.
