Platform Integration Engineer

Sky's Production Engineering team works to build, deploy and support solutions that create innovative video processing platforms for our internal customers. We are a multi‑disciplinary team working across a platform running multiple work streams.

• Design solutions and workloads for MAM and PAM platforms, including integrations with cloud services, on‑prem infrastructure, third‑party systems and internal APIs.
• Collaborate with development teams and vendors to ensure integrations meet technical standards, performance benchmarks, and operational requirements.
• Work with Infrastructure to establish deployment pipelines for broadcast applications and services.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce time‑to‑market.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues, collaborating with support teams for 3rd‑line support, utilising advanced monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning, ensuring robust platform availability and resilience.

• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Concourse, Jenkins or Git Hub Actions.
• Coding skills preferably in Python.
• Expertise in IT, including Linux, databases, storage management, networks, and security principles.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a recognised proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Proven experience with version control systems like Git, and an understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating technical documentation and presenting to stakeholders.
• Experience with MAM/PAM systems, video & audio processing and streaming technologies.

• Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Dev Ops Engineer), Kubernetes (CKA/CKAD).
• Familiarity with serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions) for scalable, event‑driven processing.
