Rize Credit Union is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Summer Intern to support our Real Estate Lending team! This paid, part-time position is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain exposure to the mortgage and real estate loan process while building valuable office and administrative skills.

Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday / 8 hours a day | Duration Summer 2026

About the Role
As a Summer Intern in Real Estate Lending, you’ll work closely with our Real Estate team to support daily workflows that keep the lending process moving smoothly. This role offers hands‑on exposure to the mortgage and home equity lending process, along with opportunities to observe how loans progress from application through closing. You’ll assist with reviewing loan files, tracking activity, and organizing key documentation while gaining insight into how lending operations function within a financial institution.

• Administrative & Processing Support
• Review loan files to ensure required documentation is present and properly retained according to record retention guidelines
• Organize and maintain loan documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with tracking loan pipeline activity and key loan milestones
• Compile basic reports related to loans in process and lending activity
• Review borrower communications, checklists, and emails for clarity and consistency
• Support the team by helping maintain organized loan files and documentation

• Shadow team members across the lending process for both first mortgages and home equity loans
• Observe different stages of the loan lifecycle to understand how lending decisions and processes work
• Document observations and identify potential opportunities to improve organization or efficiency within workflows
• Collaborate with team members and participate in discussions about lending processes and operations

• Interested in finance, business, real estate, or banking
• Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills
• Comfortable reviewing information for accuracy and completeness
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word
• Strong communication and note‑taking skills
• Curious and eager to learn how mortgage and home equity lending works
• Comfortable asking questions, learning new processes, and working with different teams
• Enjoys a collaborative, interactive team environment where communication and discussion are common
