Billing Customer Service Representative - URGENT!
Do you love details? Like…really love details? Do contracts, rules, and regulations spark a little joy? Are you the person who spots the extra decimal point from across the room?
If so, keep reading.
We’re looking for a Billing Customer Service Representative to join our Billing & Compliance Operations team in the waste management industry (yes, we take trash seriously — and we’re proud of it).
This is a long term consulting project, fully ONSITE in Irwindale and working with a vibrant team.
What You’ll Be DoingYou’ll be the behind-the-scenes hero making sure our billing is accurate, compliant, and crystal clear. Think part investigator, part customer advocate, part process pro.
You’ll:
Stay on top of municipal contracts, ordinances, and internal billing policies (because accuracy matters).
Process work orders tied to driver exceptions — excess debris, overweight loads, blocked bins, contamination… you name it.
Dig into accounts and billing data to identify revenue opportunities and resolve discrepancies.
Respond to billing inquiries with clarity, confidence, and professionalism.
Maintain detailed system documentation (if it’s not documented, did it even happen?).
Support audits, parcel reviews, and billing-related projects.
Keep learning as systems, contracts, and equipment evolve.
1–2 years of experience in billing and/or customer service.
High School Diploma or GED.
Strong multitasking skills and laser-sharp attention to detail.
Clear and professional communication skills (written and verbal).
The ability to make sound decisions quickly.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, ever-moving environment.
Experience with the Softpak system.
Background in waste management or transportation.
A genuine appreciation for process, structure, and getting it right the first time.
Looking to hire ASAP. No relocation offered.
PAY: $23-23.50/hr
