What You’ll Do:General Office Management. Provides clerical support for the Landfill Department, including printing tickets, monitoring and tracking pricing, visually and analytically inspecting loads (using PID Meter). Maintains correct levels of inventory for all plant and office materials, ordering new materials when appropriate. Provides customer service by answering phones and responding to requests for information on tickets and/or invoices.
Maintains Financial Records. Collects on all past due accounts by calling customers and providing copies of tickets and invoices. Maintains facility compliance files and reports such as cash transaction reports and facility daily logbooks. Conducts facility banking and deposit reports. Inspects incoming loads for acceptability.
Coordinate Customer Orders. Responsible for weighing customer trucks, providing timely and accurate tickets to customers ensuring the smooth flow of traffic across the scales. Assists in the coordination of truck dispatch orders to ensure maximum efficiency. Ensures that tickets are verified for numbers, dated and time accuracy and ensures that customer trucks leave the yard properly loaded.
Serve as Plant Contact. Works closely with supervisor and other facility personnel to assist in coordination of site functions including organizing fill activitiesingo, providing direction to customers, assuring compliance with facility rules and company policies, monitoring site activities, keeping facility data and reports. Directs customers to unloading/dumping areas, monitors trucks and drivers, litter control and general housekeeping functions.
Additional Responsibilities. Other duties as assigned.
Skills You’ll Need:Experience. Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or related clerical experience and/or education in waste identification and solid waste regulations is preferred. Weekends, overtime, and travel may be required.
Detail Orientation. Must demonstrate a strong ability to maintain documents and provide detailed record keeping during busy times and long hours.
Technology Skills. Must have the ability to use computers, cell phones, and other electronic devices. Must have appropriate typing skills and a thorough understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Interpersonal and Communication Skills. Must have outstanding communication skills and have the ability to interact well with people at all levels of the organization.
Integrity. Must act with unyielding integrity and honesty in business transactions, promote company policies, and hold self and other employees accountable.

Hourly Range. The base hourly range for this role is between $25.00 - $28.00 per hour. This range does not include our discretionary bonus or equity package.
