International Logistics Planner - Irving, TX Job Summary
The International Logistics Supervisor will play a crucial role in supporting the logistics and export functions within the organization. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the individual will be responsible for leading, managing, and motivating a team to ensure smooth operation. Setting schedules, assigning tasks, monitoring performance and providing feedback and ensuring compliance with company policy. This role will be the key communicator between the staff and leadership.
Core duties include coaching and conflict resolution. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of navigating the complexities of international shipping and compliance.
- Team Leadership & Development:
Supervise, motivate, coach, and mentor staff; conduct performance evaluations and give feedback. - Operations:
Oversee daily tasks, manage workflow, assign task responsibilities and ensure deadlines are met. - Performance and Productivity:
Monitor performance KPI’s, identify challenges, implement solutions and ensure quality and efficiency standards are maintained. - Communication and Reporting:
Act as a liaison, reporting to leadership, document incidents, and resolve team issues. - Compliance and Safety:
Ensure adherence to company policies, government compliance regulations and safety guidelines. - Customer Service:
Provide excellent internal and external customer service to address inquiries and resolve issues related to shipments and documentation. - Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the team members to ensure a smooth workflow and effective communication across departments.

Education
Associate's Degree in Supply Chain, International Logistics or related field; or strong commensurate experience preferred.
Work Experience
5 years of logistics experience in the transportation industry, specializing in scheduling and load building to optimize efficiency and meet customer demands preferred.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- International Shipping Regulations:
Understanding of U.S. export regulations and compliance requirements, including familiarity with export licenses. - Logistics and Supply Chain Management:
Knowledge of logistics processes, shipment booking procedures, and documentation associated with international shipping. - Software Proficiency:
Experience with logistics and inventory management software, specifically Avante and TIMS systems. - Documentation Standards:
Familiarity with the necessary paperwork for international shipments, including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.

Ability to meticulously review customer orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and compliance. - Organizational
Skills:
Strong organizational capabilities to manage multiple shipments and documentation simultaneously. - Customer Service:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide outstanding service to both internal and external customers. - Analytical
Skills:
Strong problem‑solving abilities to address issues that arise in the logistics and export process. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite:
Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis, reporting, and documentation management within Microsoft 365.
- Adaptability:
Ability to navigate the complexities and dynamic nature of international logistics and shipping. - Collaboration:
Ability to work effectively with team members, customers, and stakeholders to facilitate smooth international shipping operations. - Time Management:
Capacity to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities without compromising quality. - Technical Aptitude:
Capability to quickly learn and utilize new software and technology as required by the logistics and export functions.
- IATA Certification - IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations is required (training provided by Matheson).
- IMDG Certification - Standards for the maritime transport of hazardous materials is required (training provided by Matheson).
