Job SummaryThe Porter CDL driver is an extremely detail‑oriented, accountable, and safety‑focused individual. They manage multiple tasks, maintain the parking lot, move and park buses, vans and other vehicles, deliver them to various locations, and ensure all company property is secure. They must have safe driving skills and experience with fleet vehicles.
Essential Functions- Assist in organizing the parking lot daily.
- Adhere to established routes.
- Check‑out/return each vehicle for rental.
- Note damage upon return.
- Keep the back lot organized.
- Bring vehicles in when needed.
- Pick up customer vehicles.
- Fuel vehicles and top off fluids as necessary.
- Detail vehicles as needed.
- Maintain safety and good judgement.
- Apply technical skills.
- Show sense of urgency.
- Pursue self‑development.
- Participate in random drug and alcohol testing per company and DOT.
The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk or hear, and lift or move office products and supplies up to 20 pounds.
Required Education / Experience / Certifications- Valid CDL with P endorsement.
- Air brake endorsement preferred.
- High school diploma.
- Work experience driving, parking, and organizing fleet or dealership vehicles.
- Experience operating shuttle buses and/or school buses.
